Finally choose the Trail Blazer! Shams: More than 10 teams including the Celtic Timberwolves once had Italian Lillard
Previously, according to Shams, Lillard returned to the Trail Blazers with a three-year, $42 million contract.
Shams said on the show: "Backing his home in Portland and living with his three children is the most important and critical factor in Lillard's decision to return to the Trail Blazers, even though he applied for a deal with the Trail Blazers two years ago. Over the past few weeks, more than a dozen teams including Boston and Minnesota have been interested in him and offered contracts. Trail Blazers general manager Crowning and head coach Billups have recently visited Lillard's home many times, explaining how the team will establish a bond with Lillard and how to move forward. A three-year, $42 million plus a third-year player option, and now Lillard and LeBron have become the only two players in the league with a trade veto."
