According to the "Sun Sentinel" Heat team reporter Ira Winderman, the Heat asked the league about Rozier's contract-related issues, but did not receive a clear answer.

According to previous reports, Rozier, who is under investigation for gambling, will not be paid his salary during his suspension and will be temporarily held in a third-party escrow account pending the outcome of the FBI investigation into the case. Although Rozier will not receive salary while his legal issues are resolved, the Heat will receive no cap space or luxury tax relief as a result. Currently, the Heat's total salary remains below the luxury tax line of about $1.6 million.

According to reports, the Heat asked the league whether Rozier's contract can be used for salary matching in potential transactions. The league has not yet given a clear answer to this issue.
