British media: Forest will sign Rennes striker Karim Endo for 26 million pounds, and is still talking about McCarthy

The Telegraph reported that Nottingham Forest is about to sign Rennes forward Karim Endo for £26 million. The 23-year-old French U21 international scored 17 league goals for Rennes last season and represented France in the Olympics last year. Transfer negotiations are currently progressing smoothly, and Brentford has also expressed interest in the young striker.

Forest is also seeking a compromise with Manchester City on McCarthy's transfer. Although the 22-year-old England U21 midfielder was priced at £40 million, Forest hopes to reach an agreement with a £30 million basic transfer fee + additional terms. Despite the intentions of Bundesliga teams such as Dortmund, the core of the organization who has played for Manchester City since 2013 still chose to join Nottingham Forest and is expected to sign a five-year contract. But as of Thursday morning, the two sides have not reached an agreement on the transfer fee and payment structure.

Forest coach Nuno plans to introduce at least four more players before closing the window, focusing on strengthening the full-back, winger and forward positions. With the Forests returning to the European game for the first time in nearly 30 years, Nuno is eager to increase the lineup. Southampton's Mattus Fernandez remains a major goal, but West Ham has joined the Portuguese U21 international. Despite the relegation of the Saints to the Championship, Fernandez still hopes to stay in the Premier League, and it is reported that its price is about £50 million.

Strasbourg winger Dirahn Baccarva is a clear goal, but the negotiations have not yet made a breakthrough. Forest also negotiated with AC Milan for US international Mousa, and the players themselves tended to join. In order to streamline the lineup, Nuno plans to clean up marginal players. Winter Jota Silva has attracted the attention of Portuguese sports, and the second goalkeeper Carlos Miguel is close to joining Palmeiras of the Brazilian Garcelona. David Kalmo, Omar Richards and Marco Stemmerk may also leave the team on loan or permanent transfer.

Forests will usher in their first Premier League match this Sunday, against Brentford at home.
