Naples coach Conte recently admitted that he never thought the team could sign McTominay from Manchester United in the summer window last year.

Conte said: "I know McTominay very well. He is a player who grew up in Manchester United's youth training system. I noticed that although he always creates an impact, he never gained a core position in Manchester United."
