Team newspaper: Paris transfer negotiations are too tough to affect signings, and only one person is exempted this summer

According to French media "League", Paris has only signed one goalkeeper so far this summer. The club's extremely tough attitude in negotiations seems to have affected the signing, causing misunderstandings between them and other clubs and tensions.

Take Zabani's deal as an example. Since May, Paris has reached an agreement with the 22-year-old Ukrainian central defender on a five-year contract. After winning the Champions League, Paris thought it would be able to complete the deal within a few days. But two months passed, Zabani remained in Bournemouth and began to lose patience. This is a tug-of-war where both sides are unwilling to give in, and the transfer is deadlocked, mainly because the bonus terms have not been agreed.

Later last week, Paris submitted a written offer to Bournemouth for a fixed transfer fee of €60 million and agreed to pay the solidarity fee stipulated by FIFA (5% of the transfer fee, i.e. €3 million). Although Bournemouth initially requested a transfer fee of 70 million euros, it had lowered the asking price a few weeks ago, expressing its willingness to accept a similar offer, provided that Paris adds another 3 million euros bonus. Until Tuesday night, Paris still used Wyson's transfer to Real Madrid's 62.5 million euros as a reference and was unwilling to further raise the offer.

The transfer parties have experienced an emotional roller coaster in the past few days, initially thinking that everything will be resolved within hours, then they become pessimistic. Paris still believes that Zabani will join before the transfer window is closed, but these turmoil has had an impact on the players' psychology. Zabani doesn't understand why the negotiations are so slow, and although he insists that he only wants to join Paris, he still faces the pursuit of Tottenham and Newcastle. Both clubs said they would immediately meet Bournemouth’s asking price as long as the players nodded.

At the same time, Paris is also very eager to introduce Chevalier. The two sides have basically reached an agreement on the contract, but the negotiations with Lille are similar to those with Bournemouth. Paris has submitted two oral offers to Lille since the negotiations began, both of which were rejected. The latest offer includes a total bonus of 40 million euros, while Lille hopes to receive a transfer fee of 40 million euros plus a bonus.

Lille has explained to Paris the conditions to meet the agreement: first, Paris needs to be close to Lille's asking price, and the two sides are currently very close to reaching an agreement; secondly, Paris needs to wait for Lille to find a suitable replacement. Now, neither condition has been met, and Lille will not hinder the player from leaving the team, but Paris is not satisfied with the progress of the negotiations, but at least it has not questioned the possibility of a transfer. At the same time, Paris is also working hard to deal with Donnarumma's problem, and the team does not want to manage two starting goalkeepers at the same time. Unlike Zabani, Chevalier remained calm about the progress of the deal.
