The regular season system of the AUP has become 29 rounds because of the joining Auckland FC, and the participating teams have increased from 12 to 13, making it the first time in the history of the AUP that there are odd teams. The increase in the number of teams directly changed the original schedule structure: each team needs to play one home and away game with the other 12 teams (24 games in total), and then add two key matches through the joint round, and finally form a 26 regular season match system for each team.
