According to the World Sports report, the Barcelona club released its 2024-25 financial report, which showed a net loss of 17 million euros. Members of the

Barcelona Club will vote for the financial report for the previous fiscal year at the annual general meeting on October 19. The club has released the relevant results and provided some key details.

Overall, the Barcelona club's net loss after deducting taxes and special items was €17 million. The regular revenue generated by daily operating activities is 994 million euros, bringing positive returns of 2 million euros.

According to the club's explanation through a press release, the net loss of €17 million was due to the positive income of €2 million from regular income minus the income and expenditure impact and taxes of special projects. Special projects include UEFA fines (-15 million euros), VIP seat sales (+70 million euros) and impairment of Barcelona studios (now renamed Barcelona Production Company) (down from 400 million euros to 178 million euros). The

club holds a 51% stake in the asset, so it needs to be impaired by 90.87 million euros for this part, which is also included in the special project. €30 million of VIP seat sales revenue still has not been received, but out of caution, the club only recorded €70 million that has been received.

Mathematically, if all published special items are applied to conventional gains of 2 million euros, the net loss should be 33.78 million euros. The actual published net loss is 17 million euros, which means there are 16.78 million euros of other special projects, which have a small impact but still contribute to the final result.

In addition, the club announced all-time highs in sponsorship and merchandise sales, at 259 million euros and 170 million euros respectively. Debt fell by 90 million euros to 469 million euros.

Barcelona club expects revenue budget of 1.075 billion euros in the next fiscal year, including about 50 million euros from the gradual resumption of use of the Noth Stadium in Camp Sportifio. The regular income is expected to be €5 million. Payroll expenditure accounts for 54% of conventional earnings, up two percentage points from the previous fiscal year, but still complies with UEFA regulations.
