Jovic is the fifth 2022 rookie to renew his contract early, with the No. 12 pick and No. 1 pick up to 287 million in five years
According to ESPN famous reporter Shams Charania, the agent of Heat forward Jovic revealed that Jovic and the team reached a four-year, $62.4 million early contract renewal.
Jovic (No. 27 pick) became the fifth 2022 rookie to complete an early contract renewal during the offseason. The other four (in chronological order) are:
12 pick Jaylen Williams (5 years, $239 million, up to $287 million)
No. 1 pick Bachelor (5 years, $239 million, up to $287 million)
No. 1 pick Holmegren (Shams reported it was $250 million, and salary experts said $239 million in five years,
Tanhua Jabbarri Smith Jr. (5 years, $122 million).
The deadline for early renewal of the 2022 rookies is October 21, and the new season will start on October 22.
