Kidd: Klay can still remain competitive, but he won’t be asked to guard three goals every day.

Today, Mavericks coach Kidd accepted an interview with the media after the team's training.
In the previous preseason game when the Mavericks lost to the Hornets 116-120, Clay defended LaMelo Ball. The latter scored 20 points in 23 minutes (8 of 13 shots, 4 of 8 three-pointers), and had 6 assists and 3 rebounds. Kidd praised Clay's fighting spirit, but admitted that he could not be relied on to assume the main defense task for a long time.
Kidd said: "Ball has both scoring and organizational skills. This kind of matchup test is necessary. Clay proved that he can still remain competitive at this age. We will not ask him to do this every night, but he showed the possibility!"
