Powell: I always encourage Jovic to stay positive and not dwell on mistakes
The Heat defeated the Trail Blazers 136-131. After the game, Heat player Powell was interviewed by the media and talked about his teammate Jovic, who had a career night in this game.
"Jovic is often a little depressed. I have been communicating with him throughout the game, encouraging him to maintain a positive attitude and not dwell on mistakes. During the timeout in the first quarter, I told him, even if you make a mistake, don't let me see you showing low body language." Powell said.
Jovic played as a substitute for 31 minutes and 21 seconds, making 10 of 16 shots, 3 of 7 three-pointers, 6 of 8 free throws, scoring 29 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals and 1 block, with a team-high plus-minus of +20.
