Gomi refutes French journalist s black comments: inciting hatred and division is shameful

Former Lyon and Marseille striker Gomi posted on social media, responding to the remarks of French journalist Pierre Menes.

Menes recently made remarks such as "The French team is now all black, and his son was bullied by black people in the team when he was 11 years old."

Gomi responded to this: "It is shameful to incite hatred and division. The strength of the two-time world champion France is derived from its diversity. The coach selects talents based on talent, not skin color!"

It is worth mentioning that Gomi once publicly supported Menes. In 2019, Menes said that there was anti-white racism in football and was bombarded. At that time, Gomi also stood up to defend Menes: "He is my friend, I know he is not a racist, and even if he says stupid things, I have to condemn his words. But the concept should not be confused.
