Solskjaer: Rashford seems to be enjoying football at Barcelona, he may not be happy at Manchester United

Solskjaer recently appeared on the podcast The Overlap and talked about Rashford leaving Manchester United.

Neville: What do you think of Rashford's performance when you were coaching him, and his subsequent decline, including his moves to Villa and Barcelona.

Solskjaer: I haven’t spoken to him since I left. We have sent text messages. I don't know what's going on in his life, but it's clear he's enjoying playing at Barcelona. It seemed like he ended up unhappy at Manchester United.

Neville: Why do you think some Manchester United players don’t enjoy playing at Manchester United?

Solskjaer: I think this is not just a problem for Manchester United, this happens everywhere. Of course, this issue has been hyped now. I'm not talking about now, I'm talking about the past few years, basically. I used to think now the team looks in good shape and they are happy.

But I don’t know the pressure that all players face. Everyone’s pressure is different, both from life pressure and from football. I have no idea. We don’t know what’s going on when players come to training in the morning and we see them sullen. That's the coach's job.

The coach will say, "I can tell something's not right with them." And most of the time, you don't talk about that in the media. So we don't really know what's going on. Well, we just hope Rashford performs well because when he's in good form, in a good mood and full of energy, he's an absolutely fantastic player.
