Tebas talks about anti-corruption in football: La Liga held 168 integrity forums last season and monitored 9,026 games
La Liga President Tebas participated in the fifth seminar on the manipulation and corruption of sports events and published a message on Twitter, highlighting that La Liga held 168 integrity workshops and monitored 9,026 games in the past season.
Tebas: “I attended the opening ceremony of the fifth seminar on the manipulation and corruption of sports events together with the Supreme Judicial Council, the police and representatives from the Attorney General’s Office, the General Gambling Authority, Interpol, Europol, the Superior Sports Council, UEFA, the Spanish Football Federation and the Professional Footballers’ Association. Combating match-fixing has been a priority for us since taking office as president of La Liga. "Cooperation with the National Police is vital and we are proud that La Liga has been recognized for its efforts in this area. Our integrity model combines prevention, technology and legal action: last season, we held 168 integrity workshop meetings, monitored 9,026 matches and participated in investigations in all cases of suspected corruption in non-professional football."
