World Sports: Barcelona renews contract with Spotify until 2034, with total sponsorship amount reaching 460 million euros

World Sports reported that Barcelona and Spotify renewed their cooperation agreement with a total amount of up to 460 million euros.

Barcelona FC and music platform Spotify announced the extension of their partnership until 2030, including stadium naming rights and jersey sponsorship. According to a report in Catalan daily Mundo Deportivo, the new contract will take effect in 2026 (the existing contract expires) and cover the match and training jersey sponsorship of all men's and women's teams until 2030. The naming rights agreement for the Camp Nou stadium will last until 2034.

As the main sponsor, Spotify will bring total revenue of approximately 380 million euros to Barcelona from 2026 to 2030. Specifically, Spotify will pay the Catalan club led by Laporta approximately 65 million euros per year to sponsor the men's and women's teams, plus 10 million euros for training equipment, for a total of 75 million euros per season, for a total of 300 million euros over four years.

In addition, Spotify will pay an additional 20 million euros per year for stadium naming rights from 2026 to 2030, for a total of 80 million euros. But as mentioned, the naming rights agreement at the Camp Nou is valid until 2034, so Barcelona will continue to receive 20 million euros per year during this period, bringing the total agreement between Spotify and Barcelona to 460 million euros.

At present, Spotify's existing contract with Barcelona will expire in 2026. This contract brings the club approximately 62.5 million euros in jersey sponsorship fees each year, plus 5 million euros in stadium naming rights fees, although the new stadium has not yet been opened to the public. Therefore, this sponsorship from the music platform is undoubtedly a huge boost for the new Camp Nou stadium that is about to open.
