In the 12th round of La Liga, Celta Vigo faced Barcelona at home. Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo revealed that Celta Vigo president Marian Murino is a fan of Rashford.

In the 2017 UEFA Europa League semi-finals, Rashford scored one pass and one shot in two rounds, helping Manchester United eliminate Celta Vigo to advance to the final, and finally defeated Ajax 2-0 to win the championship.

Mariane Murino will serve as Celta President from 2023, when she will be 48 years old. Marian, the daughter of former president Carlos Murino, revealed she kept Rashford's signed shirt with the number 19 on it, despite the fact that Rashford eliminated Celta Vigo in that match.

Mariane Murino is currently the only female club president in La Liga. Before that, there were Teresa Rivero (Vallecano, 1994-2011), Ana Uquijo (Bilbao, 2006-07), Maria de la Pena Bellahondo (Real Sociedad, 2006), Victoria Pavon (Leganés, 2008-22) and Chen Lifen (Valencia, 2014-17, 2022-25).

Mariane Murino participated in a Europa League draw for the first time last August and communicated with many European football leaders in Monte Carlo the day before. She has extensive experience in the business world. She has lived with her family in Mexico since she was 4 years old. After attending high school in Orlando, she earned a degree in business administration from the University of Miami and pursued a master's degree in marketing. She served as Celta Vigo's marketing director from 2005 to 2009, while her father became club president in 2006.

After her brother Juan Camilo died in a plane crash, she returned to Mexico and, together with her other brother Carlos, managed the Southeastern Energy Group (GES) owned by her father, which focused on energy, hospitality and food production and distribution. She was also the founder and CEO of Lagas Petroleum Group and a regional consultant for BBVA Mexico.

Marian has a friendly personality and charm, and is deeply loved by Celta Vigo fans. She revealed to the club media that her first date was at the Paraidos Stadium, with businessman Miguel Alvarez. The two later got married and had three children.

Currently, Celta Vigo is renovating its home stadium and plans to increase its capacity from 30,000 to 43,000, hoping to host World Cup matches.
